Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best time to visit Serengeti and Ngorongoro?
Both Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater offer excellent wildlife viewing year-round.
June–October: Dry season, easier wildlife spotting.
December–March: Calving season in Serengeti (great predator action).
April–May: Green season with fewer crowds and lower rates.
Is this safari suitable for children or older travelers?
Yes. The 3-day express safari is suitable for most age groups. However:
Children under 5 may find long driving distances challenging.
For elderly travelers, we recommend midrange or luxury lodges for added comfort.
Private safaris allow flexible pacing.
What type of vehicle is used during the safari?
We use a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser with:
Pop-up roof for game viewing
Guaranteed window seat
Charging ports (in most vehicles)
Professional English-speaking driver-guide
How likely am I to see the Big Five?
Ngorongoro Crater offers one of the highest chances in Africa to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) in a short period. Serengeti is especially famous for large lion prides and cheetahs. While sightings can never be 100% guaranteed, chances are very high.
How much luggage can I bring?
We recommend:
Soft-sided bags only
Maximum 15–20 kg (33–44 lbs) per person
Hard suitcases are not ideal due to limited vehicle space.
